Company Description and Problem
One of Africa’s largest bank’s security team did not have a full overview of the environments that are housing the bank’s applications. The enterprise tooling team responsible for the bank’s image registry and the containerization team providing the platform for housing application teams’ containers were working in silos and did not have a view of the security standards set for each team.
Solution
Disraptor’s DevOps Engineer, Siphesihle Mbonxa, used Prisma for Cloud Enterprise Edition to introduce a security tool. Prisma is a full Cloud Native Security Platform, where host, container and serverless capabilities are delivered via SaaS. Enterprise Edition provides a comprehensive platform for protecting both the service plane and the compute plane and can protect hosts, containers and serverless running in any cloud, including on-premises. With Prisma deployed on the containerization and image registry platform, the security team now has a full overview of the security within the different platforms.
Outcome
The different platforms are no longer working in silos and the application deployment was made secure from start to finish. The Prisma defenders have added an extra layer of security to the platforms and applications.
